It was in a church parking lot in Atlanta when artist, Corinne Adams discovered her smashed window. So most of us know, if our car was broken into, we would be frustrated, scream and kick but Corinne Adams saw the beauty in the broken glass and knew it could be used to make art. As she said, “glass everywhere. A day disrupted. A mess to clean up. Insurance to file. A window to replace.” she goes on to say, “Until I saw the beauty of the glass. Turquoise blue like the sea. Little sea-glass-like nuggets glistening in the morning sun. Maybe it was my recycling mentality….or my photographer’s eye for finding beauty in unlikely places. But I knew I had to take the glass home. Slowly and surely, the little glass nuggets made their way into C Glass jewelry, and that beauty is everywhere, even in brokenness.”

Yes, yes, yes! Exactly what we love about our artists at the Re-inspiration Store. We search for stories and creative reuse art that inspires us. Corinne is an inspiration and a great example of making lemons out of lemonade.

Her background is a s a fine art photographer and mixed media artist who describes her specialty as “making something out of nothing.” Her images have been exhibited regionally and nationally, including installations in the International Concourse of Hartsfield International and LAX (Los Angeles) airports, in worldwide hotels and in numerous private and corporate collections. More recently, Corinne was diagnosed with breast cancer and her prognosis is very good. She embodies a spirit and energy that we all aspire to. Her faith and work continues thru her many trips back and forth to Nicaragua. It their her true lifes work exists on mission to help the women of this disadvantaged country create things that can be sold in the US to fund their education and living.

The Re-Inspiration Store is an Art Festival in a Store and we pride ourselves in sourcing new, creative, fun gifts at all of the local art festivals in Atlanta. We will have a booth at this years Sweetwater 420 Festival at Candler Park but we are also open all day every day for you to bring friends and browse our new spring additions. So, whether you are heading out to Dogwood Festival, Inman Park Festival, Sweetwater 420 Festival or whatever…come by for a visit.

We are also extending our hours Saturday during the Inman Park Festival and will be open until 8pm for you be able to enjoy an Art Festival in a Store!!!
